Valuation and Insurance

Magnus Nedregård may give his assessment of the condition, origin and age, in writing or orally, of an instrument for insurance or sale. Nedregård takes particular interest in Norwegian and other Scandinavian and Northern European instruments from the 18th century and will be interested in studying an instrument of that type if you think you have one!

In cases where we cannot give a good assessment of an instrument we will be able to put you in touch with the right specialist abroad.

We can also photograph high resolution images for documents, or for the purpose of dating with dendrochronology, which is a technique for dating the tree in the instrument. In recent years, this has become a valuable tool for scientifically dating older instruments.

We only issue certificates for our own instruments.
